In the village you can take a healthy walk at any time with the taste of salt from the sea and away from the exhaust fumes of the city, a priceless value.
Do you have recommendations for visitors to truly experience the authentic charm of our village?
One should not leave Methoni without a walk to the Castle, without a dip in the clear blue virgin waters of Sapienza and without enjoying the wonderful sunset overlooking the sea.
Can you share a special memory or story that reflects the unique character of our community?
I remember as a child playing football in the village hall with my friends right after school until late at night and drinking water to quench our thirst from the tire! A rare thing for children who have not grown up in the village.
If you could turn back time, would you do anything differently in your life?
No, I wouldn't change a thing.
