What aspects of village life do you find most enriching or meaningful?
In a village like Methoni you can raise your children without the stress and anxiety that a city causes you! The society is all known and you live in conditions of daily calm! Nothing can replace a walk in the sea!
Do you have recommendations for visitors to truly experience the authentic charm of our village?
As a place, Methoni has to give you a lot of beauty, fantastic landscapes and seas! But sadly to be honest it is now derelict and unexploited which can be seen by visitors! I hope this changes over the years as new people take over!
Can you share a special memory or story that reflects the unique character of our community?
As strange as it may sound, I consider the "Akrogiali" fish tavern as a point of reference for Methoni, which grew up for generations and was demolished two years ago! It is a blow for our village and at the same time nostalgia for locals and visitors!
If you could turn back time, would you do anything differently in your life?
I wouldn't change a thing in my life! I have the best memories as a child in Methoni!
