What aspects of village life do you find most enriching or meaningful?
I really appreciate the simple rural life in a really beautiful natural environment with crystal clear waters, lush green fields and a unique picturesque landscape. Even in winter the quality of life in sleepy Methoni is much better than the stressful urban lifestyle. In summertime, on the other hand, living in Methoni is precious, as one has the opportunity to spend their holidays in their own place welcoming guests to explore the surrounding area that is a real gem.
Do you have recommendations for visitors to truly experience the authentic charm of our village?
Wander along the beach or among the narrow streets of the historic town of Methoni, visit the castle and the local traditional market with small shops, cafes and restaurants and enjoy your meal in a stunning scenery with breathtaking views.
Can you share a special memory or story that reflects the unique character of our community?
My whole childhood is interconnected with unforgettable memories from summer vacations in Methoni, as my mother comes from a nearby village, we used to come here and visit our relatives. We spent so much time here that it has always felt like a second home to me and see now that it is my base for life.
If you could turn back time, would you do anything differently in your life?
Not really! No regrets for me! Every single experience has taught me something, made me the person I am now and brought me where I am today.
